Are you looking for some family travel inspiration to make the most of these school holidays?  Well look no further.  The spectacular Tweed Coast with its year round temperate climate, crystal-clear coastlines and beautiful, lush hinterland is the perfect destination for any holiday, and the kid-friendly activities on offer in the region are another major drawcard for families to book a holiday at Tweed Holiday Parks.  Here are just a few…

SurfingFeel the stoke - learn to surf!

The Tweed coastline is packed with great surfing beaches, and with our year-round temperate climate surfing is the perfect outdoor activity for kids.  Besides the obvious fun in the sun, surf lessons teach ocean awareness, surf safety and surfing technique, and are conducted in a safe and controlled environment by professional, fully qualified surf instructors.  Surf Schools are affordable and cater for all ages and abilities, complete beginners or those looking to level up their skills for the next contest.

Tropical Fruit WorldFarm tour at Tropical Fruit World

More than a tourist attraction, and more than a commercial farm, Tropical Fruit World is a labor of love.  At Tropical Fruit World you’ll have a window into farming life and observe how a family farm manages to operate completely in harmony with its surroundings. Explore the in-house nursery, a retail shop with homemade products and shop for fresh produce at the onsite fruit market.  Don’t miss the fully guided plantation tractor tour, exotic fruit tasting, wildlife boat cruise or animal park on your visit.

Watersports GuruEnjoy Cudgen Creek with Watersports Guru

Beautiful Cudgen Creek in Kingscliff is one of the jewels of the Tweed coast crown and making the most of everything on offer in this beautiful waterway, is Tim and co. from The Watersports Guru. You’ll find them set up by the bridge at Cudgen Creek between 9 – 4 daily (depending on the weather).  Families can give paddle boarding a go or jump in a kayak for a mind-clearing and scenic row down the creek.  Never tried these activities before? No worries, they offer lessons to teach you all you need to know about having fun on the water.

Swimming Pool AerialOur facilities

Many of our parks feature kid-friendly facilities, including our Tweed Heads park which is fitted with a resort-style pool, that is temperature-controlled, and features an impressive waterslide.  For the teens or young adults, our park is equipped with a large, stainless steel outdoor gym, painted bright orange.  It's hard to miss!  A large interactive playground sits alongside the outdoor gym, perfect for those families that like to get active together! Located right on Boyds Bay Lagoon and Terranora Creek, you can launch your boat straight off the private jetty, throw a line in, or jump in a kayak.

VolleyballOur Pottsville North Park is another favourite with our young families, equipped with two pools, one of which is a perfect splash zone for toddlers.  This park also boasts two courts, one for basketball and the other for volleyball.

We are located only 5 minutes from Coolangatta Airport, so we are an easy location to get to. And if that’s not enough, at all of our parks, kids under 5 stay FREE! Yes, you heard us correctly... whether you are looking to 'rough it' by camping on one of our tourist/tent sites, 'glamp it' in one of our Surfari Tents or even treat yourselves to a stay in one of our luxury cabins... all children under 5 are free of charge!

Just another reason to stay at Tweed Holiday Parks!
