Accessibility
At Tweed Holiday Parks, we believe everyone deserves to enjoy the beauty of the Tweed — that’s why accessibility is a key part of how we design and upgrade our parks.
Accessible Holidays on the Tweed
Accessibility is at the heart of how we design, build, and upgrade our parks. Whether you’re rolling, strolling, or adventuring your own way, we want every guest to have a comfortable and inclusive holiday experience.
Across our parks, we’ve thoughtfully incorporated accessible features to make your stay easier and more enjoyable, with most of our parks featuring accessible amenities, including dedicated bathrooms and showers designed for guests using wheelchairs or mobility aids. Shared spaces like BBQ areas, camp kitchens, and park pathways are also being upgraded to ensure smoother, level access and thoughtful design.
At our Tweed Heads, Kingscliff North, Kingscliff Beach and Pottsville South holiday parks, you’ll find fully accessible water-view cabins. These cabins offer gentle ramp access, accessible bathrooms, wide doorways, and open-plan living spaces designed for mobility ease.
Our parks are continuously evolving too, with each refurbishment or redevelopment, we’re enhancing accessibility to ensure everyone feels welcome.
Beach Wheelchair Hire
The Tweed's beautiful beaches are now accessible to everyone, including those with mobility challenges, thanks to The Tweed's beach wheelchair hire program and the arrival of a new beach wheelchair proudly housed at Tweed Holiday Parks Pottsville South. The beach wheelchair is a community service initiative, which promotes inclusion of all. It is funded by the Tweed Shire Council and is open to the public.
It is free to hire, and at the time of booking it is required that the user, family member, or caregiver reads and agrees to the terms and conditions and ensures that the person using the chair is kept safe at all times. Information on the safe use of the chairs is provided to hirers when they collect the chair.

- Beach Wheelchair is Free to hire
- The hirer is responsible for all transportation arrangements and payment of the refundable deposit for the chair. At the time of hire, the user or care giver must read and agree to the terms of use, sign a lease agreement and provide identification. The terms of use are guidelines to ensure the person using the chair is kept safe at all times.
